Introduction
The "Kushimoto Marine Park Aquarium" in Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama Prefecture is a facility inside "Kushimoto Marine Park" where you can enjoy both the sea and aquarium.
The area surrounding "Kushimoto Marine Park" is located in the northernmost table-coral region in the world, and is registered under the Ramsar Convention.
The "Aquarium A Zone" exhibits a wide variety of creatures that can be found in the waters near Kushimoto.
In addition, the "Aquarium B Zone" features an area where you can see sea turtles and a theater to experience the beautiful four seasons of the Kushimoto sea in 3D.
Inside the 1,250-ton tank at the "Aquarium C Zone," you can experience being in the sea as large migratory fish such as large sharks, rays and bluefin tuna swim around you.
Other attractions include the "Underwater Observation Tower" where you can see the underwater world at a depth of 6.3 meters and the "Semi-Submersible Underwater Sightseeing Boat Stellamaris" where you can observe being underwater as if you were in a submarine.
