Introduction
  • The museum with the theme of Yokohama Port and a permanent exhibition room for artist Ryohei Yanagihara.
The Nippon Maru, built in 1930, was used as a training sailing ship to train sailors. You can see the captain's office and trainee room on board and can learn through photos and ship equipment about how training was conducted in the past.

After the tour, please enjoy the townscape of Minato Mirai with sea breeze on the deck. The exhibition at the Yokohama Port Museum consists of seven areas, and you can learn about Yokohama in an easy-to-understand way with a wide range of exhibits from the time when it was a poor village before the port opened. Yokohama to the present day continues to develop as an international port city.
At Yanagihara Ryohei Art Museum, enjoy a variety of works from picture books, oil paintings, to lithographs by Ryohei Yanagihara, who is known for his advertising designs for Uncle Torys and paintings of ships.
