Learn how matcha is made from the very first step on this immersive tea tour. Visit a farm and learn how tea is grown and harvested. Wear traditional women’s tea picking outfits as you take pictures and experience life on a tea farm. Then head to the processing factory where you’ll try grinding your own matcha from fresh tea leaves while learning about how it’s done by the professionals. Turn the iconic green powder into a delicious Japanese drink at the tea house where you’ll experience a taste of Japanese tea ceremony complete with sweets. Enjoy a quintessentially Aichi lunch of tonkatsu and sashimi at Tonkatsu Nishiki before heading out to see all the famous sites of Nishio.
