Join an expert local guide from Mie, Jun Hashimoto, for an unforgettable seaside experience. Board a local fishing boat and tour the area around Asoura Fishing Village on the water. Use Jun’s special net to pull up the day’s catch and learn about the vast variety of sea creatures native to Mie. Visit a real tai, Japanese sea bream, farm, and swim with the fishes as Jun feeds them. After taking in the beautiful underwater and coastal views, head back to Jun’s guesthouse. Hopefully you’ll have worked up an appetite because you’ll be cooking up some of the fresh fish from your day out. Learn to turn the whole fish into perfect cuts of sashimi and salt-bake a seabream like a pro. There is no better way to experience the natural flavors of the sea than fresh out of the water with an expert fisher.
